Smoke and Fire Detector using 8051 Microcontroller
INTRODUCTION
As we know safety a very important aspect in any organization. So we have deiced to make a fire safety and alert system using 8051 microcontrollers.
There are many gases available in the environment. Like that there are many sensors available to detect particular gas. In this project, we are going to detect gases generally present in the smoke. So we need to use MQ-2 sensor and also to control and decode the sensor output we are using here 8051 microcontrollers along with output device i.e. LCD and Buzzer.
BLOCK DIAGRAM
WORKING
Working of the circuit is very simple, we use the MQ 2 Smoke sensor for seasoning the presence of smoke generated by the abnormal fire.
As we have used a digital out pin of the sensor as a sensor signal, so once the sensor detects any smoke it will give the logic HIGH signal to the microcontroller.
As per the program algorithm, on logic HIGH signal microcontroller will power the buzzer, also print fire and smoke detection message of LCD.
Area of Application
This project can detect fire smoke and alert in a fire situation. So this project can be used in
1. Hospital,
2. College
3. Industry and
4. Other institutions as a fire alarm.
